A Small Business Incubator on Steroids
With the opening
on August 9, 2011 of the Alpharetta Accelerator, Managing Partners
Jim McNabb and Tarby Bryant hope to bring to North Atlanta a new
breed of small business Incubator that provides not only Class A
space, free parking and amenities but access to capital through The
Atlanta Gathering of Angels, a 75+ Member AA Board of Advisors and a
10M dollar side by side Seed Capital Fund for clients of the
Alpharetta Accelerator.
The new facility
is located just off the Alpharetta square at 221 Roswell Street on
the first floor with unlimited free parking. Private office suites,
a furnished conference room and break room in addition to a hosted
reception area will afford AA clients, visitors and Advisors a
perfect venue to grow their respective businesses. All young startup
companies need sound advice & coaching, a healthy environment with
high speed connectivity and other like minded entrepreneurs to feed
off of. The Alpharetta Accelerator will not only provide these with
professional delivery but also grant access to the missing link and
why many startups fail…lack of access to seed and early stage growth
capital.
The Alpharetta Accelerator Managing
Partners will be active involved with each client company and its
management team. From initial acceptance to successful exit from the
Accelerator, a 75+ person AA Board of Advisors will provide wise
counsel, sage advice, mentoring and potentially capital from this
Board and its circle of friends. Each client of AA will be assigned
5 members of the AA Board of Advisors with their specific industry
expertise.
Clients of the Alpharetta Accelerator will
have access to the 16 year old Atlanta Gathering of Angels that
meets now 2X monthly at the Ravinia Club and has found capital for
375+ young companies since founding in October 1996. Clients are
afforded unlimited Observer status and discounts on GOA Presentation
Fees.
Planned to launch in late 2011 is a 10M
dollar Alpharetta Seed Capital Fund I that will provide additional
capital to AA client needs from 250k to 2M. 3 seasoned Managing
Partners of this new fund will invest in AA client companies and
other young north Atlanta based companies. This fund will have a 5-7
year life and could be followed by a larger fund in late 2012.
The Alpharetta
Accelerator is close to home for many North Atlanta Entrepreneurs
but far from the ordinary Incubator. We believe that with the AA
Board of Advisors, access to capital through our preferred access to
The Atlanta Gathering of Angels and the coming Alpharetta Seed
Capital Fund, we can help 10-15 companies per year launch successful
young job creating and profitable businesses in the greater Atlanta
area.
